The China special wire cutting EDM machine, which is called high speed wire cutting EDM machine or molybdenum wire cutting EDM machine, is widely used by customers from all over the world. However, when customer choose such machines, they often get confused on the control system, because there are many different control systems for choice, and they dont know which one is better. This article is trying to clarify the main difference of the widely applied wire cutting control systems HL, HF and YH.

The common wire cutting control systems are as below:

1) HF WEDM PROGRAM AND CONTROL SYSTEM
2) HL WEDM PROGRAM AND CONTROL SYSTEM
3) YH WEDM PROGRAM AND CONTROL SYSTEM

Actually, there are not much difference from each other, just that they are developped by different companies.

HF is widely used in the WEDM machine that have multi-cutting function, which is also called Medium Speed Wire Cutting EDM Machine, it is very convenient for the machine to carry out multi-cutting, so as to get better surface finish, its seldom used in the high speed wire cutting EDM machines which can only do 1 time cutting.

Though HL can also apply in the medium speed wire cutting EDM machines to achieve multi-cutting, there are very few manufacturers use it to control medium speed wire cutting EDM machines. Comparatively speaking, its better to use HL in high speed wire cutting EDM machines.

YH is the pioneer of wire cutting control systerms, but the stability is not so good, and its mainly used in closed loop control wire cutting EDM machines.

In a word, if you dont require good surface finish, then 1 time cutting is enough, and the high speed wire cutting EDM machine with HL control system is the best choice. If good surface finish is required, then you should choose medium speed wire cutting EDM machine with HF control system, because it can achive 1 time cutting, 2 times cutting, 3 time cutting, etc. If you require very good surface finish & high precision, then you need a closed loop control wire cutting EDM machine, accordingly, the control system should be YH.
